Tool & Die/Machinist or Journeyman Tool & Die/Machinist

Job Description

Union Position - Shifts assigned by Seniority Must have manual machining experience.
All employees are required to:
Complete and pass a formal 6-month training program. Follow written or verbal instructions, blueprints, and sketches, lays out work, builds and repairs tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and parts. Builds and overhauls machinery. Sets up and operates all tool room machines to specified tolerances. Uses machinist s hand and power tools and measuring instruments. Makes necessary mathematical calculations. Performs welding, brazing, and heat-treating operations when required. Works with operators and or setup leads on installation of new setups and revised setups.
QUALIFICATIONS
Two (2) year technical degree or equivalent experience and two years practical experience with demonstration of skills in a work-based assessment. Equal Opportunity Employer
