Job Description
Global high-tech manufacturer producing cutting edge products has an excellent career opportunity for a Tool and Die Maker to join their awesome team and take full advantage of this great opportunity! Job Summary The Tool and Die Maker in the NJ plant is responsible for creating and maintaining tools and equipment to support production. This person will have in-depth knowledge of metalwork and engineering, a good eye for detail, and the ability to visualize structural components. They will also translate ideas into expertly crafted metal forms ready for the manufacturing process. The Tool and Die Maker will collaborate with their team and demonstrate company values of accountability, teamwork, and integrity. Main Responsibilities Analyze blueprints, specifications, and material requirements to determine optimal design and production methods. Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and production personnel to ensure quality and functionality of tools. Design and create precision tools, progressive dies , molds, and fixtures. Use precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers and gauge blocks, to measure and inspect finished tools. Maintain accurate records of tool design, production, and performance. Adhere to safety, quality, and production standards. Troubleshoot issues with tools and recommend repairs or modifications. Qualifications High School diploma or GED required. A minimum of 5 years' experience working as a tool and die maker. Experience working with progressive dies and stamping is required. In-depth knowledge of machine tools and their uses. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design schematics. Extensive experience with metalworking tools including drills, milling machines, grinders, and lathes. Experience with quality control analysis. Excellent attention to detail.
