Tool Crib Attendant

Job Description

We are looking for a tool crib attendant who will be responsible for the receipt, inventory, organization and distribution of cutting tools, fixtures, tool holders and tool kits. The attendant must be familiar with cutting tools and tool holding systems. Uses company computer systems to maintain tool inventory records. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage tool inventory, streamline supply processes, and support overall e productivity. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure that tools are readily available for our production teams, contributing directly to our operational excellence and safety standards. Duties
  • Review schedule for upcoming jobs and plan accordingly.
  • Set up tools in tool holders according to set up sheets.
  • Use Parlec Tool Setting equipment to indicate and measure tools required.
  • Order tools if not in inventory.
  • Manage used tooling, making decisions to inventory, regrind or scrap.
  • Review and tear down completed jobs, reviewing set up sheets for accuracy.
  • Maintain tool inventory by recording receipt, distribution and return of tools in company computer system.
  • Perform cycle counts of tool inventory.
  • Work with Machinists with tooling needs.
Experience 1 - 3 years' experience in a machine shop environment Familiarity with inventory computer system preferred
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
