Job Description

Programs, sets up, operates, and maintains Wire EDM and Sinker EDM equipment to produce precision tooling, mold components, and high-tolerance parts. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 3 years of EDM machining experience Experience setting up and operating Wire EDM and/or Sinker EDM equipment Experience programming EDM machines from customer drawings, CAD models, and engineering specifications Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, technical specifications, and GD&T Experience selecting tooling, electrodes, fixtures, and machine parameters Experience monitoring EDM performance and adjusting settings to maintain dimensional accuracy Experience performing in-process and final inspections Experience using precision measuring instruments Ability to verify completed components against tolerance and specification requirements Experience troubleshooting EDM machining and process issues Preferred Skills Tool and die experience Moldmaking experience Precision manufacturing experience Advanced EDM programming experience CNC machining experience Experience with CAD/CAM software Experience manufacturing electrodes, mold inserts, tooling components, and production parts Experience supporting prototype and development tooling Experience working in an ISO-certified manufacturing environment Apprenticeship, technical certification, or journeyman-level training Experience supporting Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives Job Responsibilities Program Wire EDM and Sinker EDM machines Set up and operate EDM equipment Review customer drawings, CAD models, engineering specifications, and work orders Select and install tooling, electrodes, fixtures, and workholding equipment Configure machine parameters according to material, geometry, finish, and tolerance requirements Manufacture precision tooling, mold components, inserts, electrodes, and production parts Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to maintain accuracy and surface finish Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections Measure completed parts using precision inspection equipment Verify components meet dimensional, GD&T, and quality requirements Troubleshoot machine, tooling, programming, and process issues Support mold builds, tool repairs, and engineering modifications Coordinate EDM work with moldmakers, toolmakers, CNC machinists, engineering, and quality personnel Assist with prototype, development, and production tooling projects Implement approved engineering and tooling changes Maintain production records, inspection results, machine programs, and tooling documentation Perform routine and preventive maintenance on EDM equipment Identify opportunities to improve cycle time, throughput, quality, and process reliability Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities
Pay:
