Job Description
Tool & Die Maker / Bench Technician $31-$34 per hour + Overtime Available 12% Night Shift Differential Full-Time We are looking for an experienced Tool & Die Maker / Bench Technician for a hands-on position working with molds, dies, and tooling components. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working at the bench, fitting and assembling components, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and working with limited supervision. You will be involved throughout the tooling process, including disassembly, fitting, grinding, assembly, plumbing, and installation of various mold and tool components. What You'll Do as a Tool & Die Maker / Bench Technician Disassemble, repair, modify, and reassemble molds, dies, and tooling Hand-fit, grind, and assemble components to meet customer specifications Perform detailed bench work on tooling and mold components Install and connect water and hydraulic lines and systems Install hot runner components and limit switches Use hand tools and shop equipment to complete tooling work Inspect components and make adjustments as needed for proper fit and function Prepare tooling, materials, and components for scheduled jobs Work from production schedules to keep projects moving on time Identify mechanical issues and assist with troubleshooting Communicate potential delays or problems to supervision Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Work independently while also supporting the overall tooling team What We're Looking For in a Tool & Die Maker / Bench Technician 2+ years of mold, tool, die, or bench technician experience preferred Strong hands-on mechanical ability Experience fitting and assembling molds, dies, or similar tooling Comfortable performing precision bench work, grinding, and component fitting Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems and determine appropriate solutions Basic electrical/mechanical aptitude Able to work independently with limited supervision Good communication and teamwork skills Basic computer skills Overhead crane experience is a plus High school diploma or GED preferred Tool & Die Maker / Bench Technician Physical Requirements Ability to remain on your feet and perform hands-on work throughout the shift Ability to lift and move items weighing up to approximately 35 lbs.
