Job Description

About the Role As a Precision Tooling Specialist, you will play a critical role in the mechanical development and fabrication of complex molds and dies. You will leverage your technical expertise in machining and blueprint interpretation to ensure high-precision outcomes that drive our manufacturing efficiency. Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end construction of multiple tooling projects simultaneously to meet production timelines. Analyze complex design blueprints to formulate efficient fabrication strategies for dies and molds. Execute machining operations to achieve extremely tight tolerances, ensuring superior part quality. Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering and Programming teams to optimize the manufacturing workflow. Operate a variety of precision equipment, including Bridgeports, surface grinders, saws, and EDM machines. Maintain rigorous quality standards by performing self-inspections throughout the build process. Uphold all safety, quality, and operational protocols to ensure a secure and efficient work environment. Qualifications Required Skills High School Diploma or equivalent. 5+ years of hands-on experience in professional tool and die or mold making. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings. Demonstrated ability to operate manual and specialized machining equipment. Possession of a personal set of precision tools and toolbox. Preferred Skills State-issued Journeyman certification or 8+ years of job shop experience. Specific background in the construction of turbine or airfoil tooling. Strong grasp of applied mathematics and trigonometry for complex layouts. Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative team-based manufacturing cell. Physical capability to lift up to 40 pounds and utilize required PPE.
