In this role, you will be at the forefront of precision mold making, ensuring that every component meets the highest standards of quality and functionality. Your expertise will drive the final stages of mold preparation, combining manual grinding techniques with advanced CNC machining and debugging processes. Responsibilities Perform manual grinding and finishing on molds to achieve precise dimensions and surface quality according to detailed blueprints and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications Utilize CNC grinding machines to refine mold components, ensuring optimal fit and function during final assembly Debug molds by identifying and correcting issues through meticulous inspection and measurement using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) Program and operate CNC grinding equipment using CAM programming and Fanuc controls to enhance machining accuracy and efficiency Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and tooling to assist in mold assembly, adjustments, or repairs as needed Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols; support lean manufacturing initiatives to optimize workflow Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing environments involving plastics injection molding or similar industries Expertise in blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and technical documentation for precise machining tasks Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and CMMs for quality control Knowledge of tooling selection, setup procedures for CNC machines, hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and assembly processes Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to promote continuous improvement and waste reduction This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their expertise in precision mold making while contributing to innovative manufacturing solutions.
