Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Tool and Die Supervisor specializing in Preventative Maintenance Repair to lead our toolroom maintenance and repair operations. In this vital role, you will oversee the maintenance, repair, and preventative care of tooling equipment used in manufacturing processes. Your expertise will ensure the highest standards of precision, efficiency, and safety are maintained across all tooling activities. Duties Supervise daily toolroom activities related to the maintenance, repair, and preventative care of tooling and associated machinery. Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex tooling issues using schematic diagrams, mechanical blueprints, and technical schematics. Coordinate with manufacturing teams to schedule and prioritize preventative maintenance tasks. Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes to take appropriate action. Skills Computer skills including ERP and MS Office proficiency. Machining capability including, but not limited to lathe, CNC, EDM, drill press, griding, sawing, and polishing tight tolerance steel. Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles for precise blueprint interpretation. Experience with plastics injection molding tooling. Skilled in manual machining techniques using hand tools, grinders, mills, lathes, calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments. Education and Job Experience Requirements High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred. 2 or 4-year degree or Journeyman's certification. Successful completion of trade school and/or apprenticeship program. Available to training in new equipment and machinery as they are procured.
