Deceuninck is seeking a Sr. EDM Operator for the Tool Room. The goal of this position is to operate the EDM equipment. Interact with tooling support groups, through verbal and written communication and/or taking corrective action in order to ensure timely tool completion. Must be proficient at operating and trouble shooting all EDM machine's in the NC room.

Core Responsibilities:

Operate and setup machining and measuring equipment; All EDM's must be able to read dial calipers, and micrometers Must communicate and work effectively with product and tool engineering, NC programming, CNC group and Die Makers. Document programming changes and calculate speeds and feeds pertaining to the EDM. Interpret blue prints, assembly, and part specification prints Participate in continuous improvements teams and contribute value-added improvement items Log daily work in Tool MFG file and Tool Tracker Identify and trouble shoot machine issues and programming errors Maintain equipment and NC stock levels. Lead and train new employees

Qualifications:

Ability to solve complex problems by utilizing fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, statistics, and geometry.

Education:

College or trade school training (preferred) Required 4 years NC experience Preferred formal machine trades training
