The floater will be given a chance to learn laser operation, press braking, and welding. In this role, you will provide essential support across various fabrication and machining operations, ensuring smooth workflow and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate is energetic, adaptable, and eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a wide range of fabrication equipment while contributing to the production of precision metal components. Responsibilities Assist with setup, operation, and troubleshooting of fabrication machinery including CNC laser cutters, press brakes, milling machines, and finishing machines. Support the interpretation of mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of parts. Conduct measurements using precision measuring instruments to verify quality and adherence to specifications during production. Operate hand tools and machine tools safely and efficiently to perform tasks such as cutting, forming, welding, and assembling metal components. Maintain safety standards by following established safety protocols during all shop activities and ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment. Assist with machine calibration, tool setup, and routine maintenance to optimize performance across multiple fabrication stations. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality workmanship. Skills Willingness to learn and grow Strong mechanical aptitude. Must be good with your hands. Familiarity with shop math concepts necessary for machining calculations and measurements. Ability to operate forklifts safely when moving raw materials or finished products around the shop floor. Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing environments and commitment to maintaining a safe workspace. Excellent problem-solving skills with a flexible attitude toward assisting in various shop functions as needed.
