In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining laser cutting equipment to produce precise components according to technical specifications. Your expertise in machine operation, blueprint reading, and manufacturing processes will ensure high-quality output and efficient production flow. Responsibilities Set up laser cutting machines, including programming and calibration, to meet production specifications using CAD files and technical drawings Operate laser equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety standards and protocols in the manufacturing facility Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production documents to accurately produce parts with tight tolerances Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser machinery Measure finished parts using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure dimensional accuracy according to GD&T standards Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment while maintaining a clean work environment Qualifications Proven experience operating laser cutting equipment Ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documentation accurately Knowledge of shop math, GD&T principles, and precision measurement techniques using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools Experience working in a manufacturing or factory environment with an emphasis on safety standards in production settings Basic proficiency with SolidWorks or CAD software for design interpretation is a plus Hands-on experience with fabrication processes such as stamping presses, CNC machining (milling and turning), assembly line operations, and materials handling equipment like forklifts is preferred Willing to train a motivated candidate but the candidate must be driven with great mechanical aptitude.
