Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Tool & Die Technician is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through the maintenance, repair, setup, and fabrication of stamping dies, roll form tooling, and related manufacturing components. The position assists in troubleshooting tooling issues, performing preventive maintenance, and machining replacement components while developing advanced toolmaking skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Tooling Support Assist in repairing and maintaining metal stamping dies. Support roll form tooling maintenance and changeovers.
Manual mills Lathes Surface grinders o Bandsaws CNC equipment Perform machine setups and adjustments as required. Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments.
Production Support:
Assist in troubleshooting tooling and quality-related concerns. Work with production personnel to improve tooling performance. Support maintenance projects requiring machining services. Assist with tooling setups and teardowns. Housekeeping and Safety Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all plant safety procedures and policies. Properly maintain tools, equipment, and company assets.
Additional Responsibilities:
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Complete assigned documentation and records. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. Technical school training preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of tooling, machining, or manufacturing experience preferred. Experience operating manual machine tools. Basic CNC operation and programming experience preferred. Experience with metal stamping dies preferred. Experience with roll form tooling preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to read mechanical drawings and blueprints. Ability to use precision measuring instruments. Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
Frequently stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely operate manual and CNC machining equipment. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, vibration, oil, and metal debris. Must be able to wear required PPE. Additional responsabilites for foreman level position
Pay:
$31.53 - $47.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 50.0 per week
