Key Responsibilities Tooling Build & Maintenance:
Build, develop, qualify, and repair production die and mold tooling.
Specialized Machining:
Set up and operate toolroom machinery, with heavy focus on EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) and precision grinding equipment.
Component Fabrication:
Manufacture replacement die components and mold tooling to exact engineering specifications.
Preventative Maintenance:
Maintain and service shop equipment to ensure seamless production operations.
Blueprint Reading:
Interpret product drawings, CAD files, and tool drawings to perform precise setups and machining.
Experience:
5-7 years of experience in tool and die building, mold development, or precision machining.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Technical school degree, vocational training, or CAD/NC programming capability is a strong plus.
Certifications:
Certified Journeyman Tool and Die Maker or Journeyman Machinist credential preferred (not required).
Technical Skills:
High proficiency with toolroom machinery, surface grinders, EDM setups, heat treating, and product prototyping.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and work comfortably in a toolroom/production environment.
