Williamsport, PA Under close supervision, performs varied tasks to fit tubes for test. Performs precise build tasks on tubes requiring a high degree of attention to detail and use of necessary tools to fit exhausted tubes for test and tested tubes for shipment.Responsibilities:
Fit tubes per print and work instructions in accordance with established workmanship standards. Maintain work area and tools in a clean and orderly manner daily. Perform RTV potting operations including mixing, using potting fixtures, and final trimming/inspection. Inspect components and assemblies for quality and accuracy of prior work and finished build. Attach wires and terminals by crimping, soldering, threaded fastener, or other means. Perform final fitting operations including painting, decaling, serializing, polishing, etc. in preparation for shipment. Perform spot welding (resistance, basic TIG and laser) and torch brazing as required for tubes in their area. Perform grit, sand and bead blasting of assemblies per procedure and workmanship standards as required. Understands production schedule targets and works to meet them consistently. Understands department scrap and yield targets and works to meet them consistently. Communicate, share and volunteer information with supervisor and teammates. Initiate NCMRs as needed. Leak checks/cold tests tubes as detailed in work instructions, as applicable. Understands proper use of vac-ion pumps. Accurately record applicable information on paperwork, tube jackets, etc. Perform basic LN transactions as needed.Qualifications:
