Job Description

Well-established manufacturer of precision-engineered sockets used in a variety of electronic products seeks a highly competent, productive, and reliable Tool Maker to create tooling components and support production. Primary Responsibilities
  • Create tooling components and fixtures for production
  • Setup molds and troubleshoot transfer molding presses
  • Setup and troubleshoot stamping dies, and maintain stamping die components
  • Inspect and measure finished products against specifications
  • Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure optimal functioning
  • Assist Engineering Manager with other projects as required Required Experience
  • At least 5 years of successful experience as a Tool Maker or Machinist in a small, tight tolerance piece part manufacturing environment Hard Skills
  • Ability to operate machinery including: grinder, lathe, mill, bandsaw, drill press, hand tools, and others
  • Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and other technical documents
  • Ability to use precision measurement tools including: micrometer, vernier caliper, drop indicator, optical comparator, and others
  • Proficient in English with well-structured oral, written communication skills and comprehension
  • Mechanical aptitude and math proficiency
  • Knowledge of steel, aluminum, and FR4 laminate material properties
  • Knowledge of CNC drilling is a plus Soft Skills

  • Comfortable in fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities

$25.00 - $32.00 per hour
