2nd shift hours - M-Th 2pm-12:30am Job function Set up, operate tool-room machines to produce tooling and verify conformance of machined parts to specification using precision measuring instruments Produce precise tooling, using mathematical calculations; assemble and repair tools; make gages, fixtures, and parts for machines used to manufacture a variety of metal stamped products Support production and development departments with their daily activities Accurately record dimensional data to update tool prints and complete supporting documentation (ECN) Support plant activities in maintaining quality registration, including, but not limited to;
ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 13485
Work with others in a team environment and help your work colleagues wherever possible Primary responsibilities Understand work instructions assigned to your department Be attentive to detail and strictly follow company quality procedures to always protect the company's interest Support process improvement initiative and activities as directed by management Assure all OSHA safety procedures are properly followed and use protective equipment where necessary in performing daily work Additional Responsibilities Recommend preventative solutions to eliminate defects in new or existing products Participate in internal quality audits and training where applicable Keep abreast of technological changes and developments within the organization Further personal knowledge in learning the press/tool functions Essential skills Must understand engineering blueprints and tool-room machining processes Minimum of 5 years proven practical experience directly related to the building of metal stamping tools and dies Must Reach and Maintain SQL level 3 Physical demands Duties include and are not limited to: see, talk, hear, stand, walk, occasional lifting, twist and bend Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, lubricants and vibrations Must be able to lift and/or move 25 LBS and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50

$28.00 - $40.00 per hour
