We are seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker to support the build, maintenance, and optimization of precision tooling used in our manufacturing operations. What you need. Position Summary The Tool & Die Maker is responsible for independently building, repairing, modifying, and maintaining dies, tooling, fixtures, and gauges to support safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role requires strong machining skills, blueprint interpretation, and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Build, repair, and maintain fineblanking, stamping, and forming dies Diagnose and correct tooling issues affecting quality, throughput, and downtime Perform precision machining using manual and CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and EDM equipment Read and interpret complex blueprints, CAD drawings, and tolerances Perform die tryouts, adjustments, and continuous improvements Measure and inspect tooling using precision instruments (micrometers, indicators, height gauges) Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams Maintain accurate documentation of tooling repairs and modifications Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping standards
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED 5+ years of Tool & Die experience in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of die construction, stamping, or fineblanking processes Proficiency with manual machining and precision measurement Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred:
Journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification Experience with automotive or high-volume metal manufacturing CNC programming or CAD/CAM experience Welding, heat treating, or surface grinding experience What we offer.
