Alternating day and night shifts with 7 consecutive days off during each rotation Position Overview M Force Partners is seeking an experienced CNC Tool & Die Machinist to join a growing Tooling Department in Surgoinsville, TN. This CNC Tool & Die Machinist role is responsible for machining, repairing, and modifying tooling, dies, fixtures, and precision components used in forging operations. Unlike production machining, this position focuses on custom tooling, one-off components, and precision craftsmanship that directly supports manufacturing operations. The ideal CNC Tool & Die Machinist will have experience operating CNC mills, lathes, and EDM equipment while producing high-quality tooling components that meet tight tolerances. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, and EDM equipment Machine tooling, dies, fixtures, and precision components from engineering drawings Build, repair, and modify forging dies and custom tooling Set up, edit, and optimize CNC programs for machining operations Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges Maintain tight machining tolerances and high-quality workmanship Machine hardened tool steels and specialty materials Support tooling improvements that increase manufacturing efficiency and productivity Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings Perform tooling changes, machine adjustments, and quality inspections Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all company safety and quality standards Required Qualifications 3+ years of machining experience in a tool room or tool & die environment Experience operating CNC mills and/or CNC lathes Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling selection, and workholding Experience machining one-off or custom precision components Proficiency using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications Experience operating EDM equipment Tool & Die apprenticeship or formal machining training Surface grinding experience Manual machining experience Experience in forging, stamping, or heavy manufacturing environments Job presented by M Force Partners M Force Partners is a specialized recruitment partner connecting top-tier talent with leading organizations.
