Full Job Description Job Description Shift:
Monday-Friday 2pm•10:30pm
Pay:
$27•35 DOE + $2hr Shift Differential Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot pultrusion tooling issues and collaborate with production and maintenance teams to resolve manufacturing line problems Set up, align, maintain, and repair pultrusion tooling, including dies, preformers, and guide systems Manage small to medium-sized new tooling builds and restorative tooling projects Perform fabrication work using blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Disassemble, Clean, and reassemble tooling equipment with a high level of attention to detail to ensure optimal performance Inspect tooling for wear, damage, and defects; recommend repair or replacement actions Support tooling changeovers requiring retrieving specific tools for next week's production run, verifying proper alignment, and functionality of the tool. Utilize hand tools, air tools, and fabrication equipment; lathe, mill, and welding work as needed Perform welding tasks (TIG preferred) on stainless steel and mild steel components Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce downtime, improve tooling life, and enhance product quality Maintain accurate documentation of tooling maintenance and repairs Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Train and provide guidance to Tooling Technician I team members Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED Minimum of 2-5 years of fabrication or tooling experience in a manufacturing environment Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Experience using hand tools, air tools, sheer, brake, and precision measurement instruments Working knowledge of tooling inspection, setup, and machine tooling processes Preferred TIG welding experience with stainless steel and mild steel Tool and die equipment experience or formal training Experience operating machining equipment such as Facing mill, shear, break, Bender. Associate degree or technical certification in a related field Familiarity with CMMS or preventive maintenance systems Skills & Competencies Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills Attention to detail and commitment to quality Effective communication and teamwork across departments Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Fabrication and welding proficiency Sound judgment and decision-making abilities Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and working with hands Ability to work around heated equipment and industrial machinery Work Environment Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to heat, noise, dust, and chemicals Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) What We Offer At MITER Brands, we invest in your health, wealth, and wellness.
