Entry Level Tool Maker Job Description
MUST BE ABLE TO READ BLUE PRINTS AND OPERATE ALL MACHINES REQUIRED TO MANUFACTURE COLD HEADING PRODUCTION TOOLING. RESPONSIBLE FOR MANUFACTURE, ASSEMBLY, COMPONENT REPLACEMENT AND PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE FOR COLD HEADER TOOLING. WORK WITH COLD HEADER OPERATORS, ENGINEERING AND PRODUCTION TO SUPPORT LEAD TIME REQUIREMENTS. MAINTAIN STOCK LEVEL OF OTHER REQUIRED COMPONENTS. QUOTE, PURCHASE, INSPECT AND APPROVE OTHER COMPONENTS AS NEEDED. MAINTAIN CLEANLINESS AND ORGANIZATION IN THE TOOL ROOM. PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS NECESSARY. HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE, TRADE SCHOOL OR APPRENTICESHIP PREFERRED. 5 YEAR MINIMUM EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH CARBIDE AND TOOL STEEL.
Qualifications for Entry Level tool designer Associates degree or equivalent experience in tooling/fixture design or mechanical design, preferred Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) knowledge CAD Design experience, SolidWorks is preferable Analytical thinker, detail oriented Self-motivated, ambitious to resolve challenges

$22.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
