QUALITY ASSURANCE ASSOCIATE/ SANITATION SUPERVISOR JOB SUMMARY
To Assist the Quality Director with regulatory compliance measures throughout the facility, filing, scanning, archiving all QA related documents including work orders, managing work order archive room, assists with SOPs updates, general QA tasks and projects related to cGMP compliance. Across both facilities La Jolla & Red Gum. Initiates and performs employee training throughout the company. Monitors control documentation for compliance with recording requirements, document adjustments when necessary. Periodically inspects both facilities for GMP violations of sanitation or potential contaminants.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Assists Quality Director with upkeep of job descriptions, record retention. Oversees all functions of the Quality Assurance area. Updates SOPs to reflect changes /GMP procedures. Inspects operations personnel for compliance with employee SOP requirements. Compliance audit lead for customer, third-party, and FDA audits. Updates employee training files. Adjusts, modifies changes control documentation when necessary. Tracks changes to control documentation by completing control document revision log sheets for each control document change implemented. Tracks changes to controlled documents revisions, monitors control documentation for compliance. Adjusts, additions and other changes to control documentation when necessary. Assists in the investigation of customer complaints, CAPAs, deviations and investigations. Assists in the creation of Annual Product Review Reports for all products. Manages training records for the quality assurance unit. Perform trainings for all employees/both facilities. Assists Quality Director with reports and controlled records. Assists Quality Director with customer questionnaires. Assists Quality Director with daily QA tasks as needed. Reviews batch records for compliance & fills out batch record review form. Monitors the usage of control documentation in production batch records, cleaning documentation, maintenance documentation, testing documentation, quality logbooks and production logbooks. Assigns control numbers, codes, version numbers and revision dates to control documents to record the historical usage of each control document and ensure that the latest version is being used. Scans, copies, and maintains files of controlled documentation, batch records and all QA related documents. Maintenance of file work order archive room Files work orders in work order archive cabinets. Disposal of obsolete work orders and records. QA related daily facility walk-through. Oversees as a backup of the Quality Director the Gluten Free Program in both facilities
SANITATION DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES
Inspects and monitors all production and warehouse areas for violations of GMP sanitation and cleanliness requirements at both facilites. Monitors production staff for compliance with GMP food safety and sanitation requirements. Monitors all non-production interior areas (offices, bathrooms, changing areas & eating areas) for compliance with GMP cleaning and sanitation requirements. Monitors all exterior areas for compliance with GMP cleaning and pest control requirements. Conducts GMP sanitation inspections monthly at all facilities. Monitor janitorial staff responsibilities by maintaining the master sanitation schedule along with janitorial or facilities manager. Monitors staff compliance with pest control, cleaning/sanitation and maintenance requirements. Monitors both facilities and production area compliance with pest control, cleaning/sanitation and maintenance GMP and SOP requirements. Relates inspectional observations to departmental managers and recommends corrective actions. Monitor janitorial inventory by maintaining the master inventory updated and supplies request forms
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Computer proficiency High School Diploma / GED equivalence College degree or 1 year experience in the nutraceutical industry/manufacturing. PCQI Certified, Trained for compliance with 21 CFR Part 111 requirements. Experienced knowledge of company sanitation SOPs
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to stand or sit for extended periods of time. Able to walk/run/stand on varying flooring surfaces, i.e., cement, tile, wood, grass, dirt, etc. Able to repeatedly bend, twist, squat, and stoop Able to extend arms forward, overhead, sideways, and downward Able to lift and carry up to thirty-five (35) pounds. Able to be exposed to varying levels of machinery noise up to ninety (90) decibels as an 8-hour time-weighted average (TWA) Able to be exposed to hazardous and nonhazardous chemicals while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Able to be exposed to allergens, odors, dust from nutraceutical raw materials and powders during an 8-10-hour shift.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
