WVWD is seeking a dedicated individual to join the team as a Utility Service Worker I or Utility Service Worker II. In this position, you'll become a pivotal part of the Operations team at Walnut Valley Water District. You'll perform a variety of assignments in the areas of customer service and field maintenance associated with the District's water service system. This position offers hands-on work in an outdoor environment with opportunities to build your skills and advance within the District. Qualifications:

Required (Certification, Licenses & Experience) USW I High School graduation or equivalent Some experience in the reading of meters, water system operation and maintenance, and/or customer service. State of California SWRCB Water Distribution Operator Grade D1 Certificate is required. State of California SWRCB Water Treatment Operator Grade T1 Certificate is desired. USW II High School graduation or equivalent Two (2) years' experience in the reading of meters, water system operation and maintenance, and/or customer service. State of California SWRCB Water Distribution Operator Grade D2 Certificate is required. State of California SWRCB Water Distribution Operator Grade D3 Certificate is desired. State of California SWRCB Water Treatment Operator Grade T1 Certificate is desired. L.A. County Backflow Certification is desired. AWWA Backflow Tester and AWWA Cross-Connection Specialist certifications are desired Special Requirements Must reside within 30 miles of the District and be able to respond in a timely manner.
