Job Purpose:

• The WWTP Trainee at the City of Milton is responsible for assisting in the operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant facilities.

This position is designed to provide hands-on experience and training in the processes and procedures involved in the treatment of wastewater to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in monitoring and adjusting treatment processes to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of equipment and facilities to ensure operational efficiency.
• Collect and analyze samples of wastewater and other materials to assess treatment effectiveness and identify any potential issues.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to plant operations, maintenance activities, and compliance reports.
• Support senior staff in troubleshooting and resolving operational problems as they arise.
• Participate in training programs to develop a comprehensive understanding of wastewater treatment processes and safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operation and coordination of activities.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
