Job Description

Job Summary Gem State Staffing in Burley is now hiring a Biogas Plant Operator with strong mechanical skills to support operations, maintenance, and safety at a biogas production facility. This is a great opportunity for individuals with experience in mechanical systems, industrial equipment, or renewable energy. Responsibilities
    Plant Operations and Monitoring:
    • Operate and monitor digesters, gas upgrading equipment, and other biogas systems.
    • Monitor fluid/gas flows, pressures, and temperatures.
    • Conduct regular equipment inspections (pumps, mixers, valves, etc.).
    Mechanical Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
    • Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance.
    • Replace filters, belts, hoses, and worn parts.
    • Diagnose mechanical/electrical issues and coordinate complex repairs.
    • Assist in equipment upgrades and overhauls.
    Safety and Environmental Compliance:
    • Follow all safety procedures and regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
    • Maintain clean and organized workspaces.
    • Respond to equipment alarms and emergency situations.
    • Ensure biogas plant operations meet environmental compliance standards.
    Recordkeeping and Reporting:
    • Log operating data and maintenance activities.
    • Prepare shift reports and update tracking systems.
    • Maintain inventory of spare parts and consumables.
    Teamwork and Collaboration:
    • Communicate effectively with team members, engineers, and contractors.
    • Attend training sessions and safety meetings.
    • Support continuous improvement and plant efficiency efforts.
    Requirements:
    • Mechanical aptitude and experience in industrial plant settings.
    • Familiarity with SCADA systems, PLCs, or plant control systems.
    • Strong understanding of safety regulations and protocols.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems.
    • Good communication and documentation skills.
    • Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in various conditions.
    • Experience in biogas, wastewater treatment, or renewable energy is a plus.
    Schedule & Shift:
    Shift are 6-6 Wednesday -
    Saturday or Sunday-Wednesday Job Type:
    Full-time Pay:
    $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
