Position Summary As a Wastewater Operator & Pump Truck Operator, you'll safely operate specialized vacuum trucks to service residential and commercial septic systems. You'll inspect systems, perform preventative maintenance, educate customers, and ensure all wastewater is handled according to state and environmental regulations. Responsibilities- Represent TL Septic Tank Services with professionalism and integrity.
- Safely operate vacuum pump trucks and related equipment.
- Pump and clean residential and commercial septic tanks.
- Locate and uncover septic tank access lids when necessary.
- Perform visual inspections of septic systems and identify potential issues.
- Complete service reports accurately and thoroughly.
- Transport wastewater safely to approved disposal facilities.
- Maintain trucks, pumps, hoses, and equipment in clean working conditions.
- Follow all OSHA, DOT, state, and company safety regulations.
- Communicate professionally with customers before, during, and after service.
- Respond to emergency service calls when needed. Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- CDL Class B (or willingness to obtain) preferred.
- Louisiana Wastewater treatment and collections operator certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience in construction, plumbing, utilities, wastewater, farming, heavy equipment, or trucking is a plus but not required. Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.
- Frequently bend, kneel, climb, walk, and work on uneven terrain.
- Operate commercial vehicles and equipment safely.
