Job Description

Back Water / Wastewater Operator-in-Training
  • 24653 Operator-in-Training Contract 11293 Aug 18, 2026 Quincy , Washington We are seeking a Water / Wastewater Operator-in-Training for assignment in Quincy, Washington.
The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the operations and maintenance of a water/wastewater treatment plant including maintenance of equipment, quality control/testing and other day-to-day activities on an assigned shift. Hours are Monday
  • Friday, 7:00am
  • 3:30pm
  • This position will have an on-call schedule
  • Responsibilities
  • Process control through sampling at various points in the facility
  • Running lab tests on samples
  • Interpret the data and make process changes as necessary
  • Facility maintenance
  • Monitoring equipment
  • Putting in work orders
  • Calibration of equipment
  • Keeping company and client property clean and in working order
  • Giving weekly updates on the facility in meetings
  • Assist the lab in collection and analysis of samples
  • Inputting data into the data management system
  • Checking SCADA system regularly to monitor all equipment and facility processes
  • Communicate any issues, data or equipment problems to other operators and the operations supervisor in a timely manner Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A valid Drivers License
  • Ability to learn new computer skills quickly (data management system and SCADA)
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools
  • Knowledge of pumps, valves or motors is highly preferred
  • A Wastewater Certification or Drinking Water License is highly preferred Apply Now Share This Post
