Job Description

This Operations Specialist is responsible for performing daily operational duties of a Groundwater Treatment Facility in the Baltimore / Philadelphia area. Must be able to travel to project sites.
In this position you will:
Perform daily operation of a Groundwater Treatment Facility Perform operational duties, daily testing and record keeping as well as process control functions Responsibilities also include regulatory and safety compliance Assist with routine maintenance and facility grounds upkeep In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position Requirements Apply basic knowledge of relevant principles and tools, as directed Apply standard protocol for work, as directed Communicate effectively by written and verbal means Perform multiple concurrent tasks and meet timelines, as directed Work well independently and as a team 3 years of relative coursework or project experience in treatment plant operations Education - High School diploma or GED is required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement. Preferred Qualifications Knowledgeable and skilled in groundwater treatment technologies, including but not limited to metals removal systems, particulate filtration systems, sludge dewatering, ultraviolet oxidation, absorptive resin/steam regeneration systems, liquid and vapor phase granular activated carbon systems A Maryland Class VI Operators license or equivalent, or the ability to obtain within the first 6 months employment. The targeted base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000 annually. Actual salary offered may be affected by education, training, certifications, experience, skills, level of responsibility, and location.
