Water & Wastewater Operator The Town of Farmington is seeking a dependable, motivated, and safety-conscious individual to join our Public Works team as a Water & Wastewater Operator . This position is responsible for assisting with the daily operation, maintenance, monitoring, and repair of the Town's municipal water and wastewater systems. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to ensure reliable service to residents while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operation and maintenance of the Town's water and wastewater systems. Monitor system operations, equipment, pumps, tanks, valves, and related infrastructure. Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs Collect water and wastewater samples and perform required testing. Perform routine maintenance of equipment, facilities, and grounds. Operate Town vehicles, tools, and equipment following appropriate training. Assist with excavation, trenching, pipe installation, and utility construction. Respond to water and wastewater emergencies, including after-hours call-ins as assigned. Maintain accurate operational, maintenance, and regulatory records. Assist with other seasonal and emergency operations as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

High school diploma or GED. Valid New Hampshire driver's license. Water and/or Wastewater Operator certification Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to obtain required water and wastewater certifications. Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing quality service to the community. CDL is preferred Training & Advancement The Town of Farmington is committed to developing employees and providing opportunities to learn and advance.
