Job Description

WASTEWATER PLANT OPERATOR
- You must apply on the City of Piqua's website piquaoh.gov The City of Piqua, Ohio is accepting applications for a Wastewater Treatment Operator or Operator-In-Training in the Wastewater Department. The Wastewater Treatment Operator is responsible for plant and lift station operations and maintenance at the City of Piqua's activated sludge wastewater treatment plant to ensure effective and efficient operation in compliance with all Federal, State, and Local Regulations. Duties will include routine plant operations, bio-solids dewatering, process control and regulatory sample collection and analysis, and perform or assist in performing preventative reactive and corrective maintenance on plant and lift station equipment including pumps, valves, gates, blowers, sensors, gauges and various other electrical and mechanical equipment. The Wastewater Operator will convey plant and lift-station operating conditions to the appropriate supervisor. Visit piquaoh.gov for full details.

Must possess Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (OEPA) Certification for an OEPA Wastewater Plant Operator I Certificate within three (3) years of employment. City training is paid for.
