Job Description
The Town of Hartford, Vermont is seeking a candidate for the position of Water Operator 1 to perform a variety of routine tasks and functions related to the operation and maintenance of the Town's two water treatment facilities, distribution systems, and storage tanks. Administrative duties include meter reading, water sampling, data/record management, and other miscellaneous tasks. Minimum qualifications include the ability to achieve a Vermont Grade 3 Water Certification, within 2 years of hire; high school diploma, ability to achieve a Class B Commercial Driver License within one-year of hire, valid driver's license, ability to operate and repair equipment; and a team-player who is self-motivated. This is a full-time position where pay is commensurate with experience and qualifications, ranging from $23.20 to $29.29 per hour.
