Job Description
This is a working supervisory position for the City of Cheney Public Works Department. It is a full-time, union position. This position oversees the daily operation and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment and Water Reuse Facilities and provides organization skills and direction to staff. This position coordinates, plans, and directs all aspects associated with the operation and maintenance of the Cheney Wastewater Treatment and Reclamation Plant and Water Reuse System. This position performs and delegates complex organizational work along with a wide variety of regular and recurring procedures. These procedures include, but are not limited to daily management of operations and maintenance tasks, training, reports, inventory, work orders, purchasing, quotes, invoice processing, annual budgets. Supervisory functions include support to the Public Works Director and Public Works Manager. This position requires effective time management, organizational, and strong customer service skills. This position will coordinate with other Public Works Departments to optimize efficient working conditions and procedures, as well as time-off coordination and cross training to insure continuous operation.
