Welder Job Description We are seeking a skilled Welder to support fabrication and repair operations at our Childersburg, Alabama facility. This individual will be responsible for performing high-quality welds on industrial components and assemblies while adhering to safety, quality, and production standards. This is a hands-on role in a manufacturing/fabrication environment. Responsibilities Perform high-quality MIG and TIG welding on industrial components and assemblies. Read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication. Prepare metal surfaces for welding through grinding and fitting. Maintain adherence to safety, quality, and production standards. Ensure all welding tasks are completed with strong attention to detail. Essential Skills 1-3+ years of experience as a welder in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Proficiency in reading blueprints and welding symbols. Experience with TIG and MIG welding techniques. Strong attention to detail and quality standards. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in an industrial fabrication/manufacturing facility with exposure to noise, heat, welding fumes, and shop equipment. Steel-toe boots and personal protective equipment (PPE) are required, which are provided on-site or issued as applicable. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Childersburg, AL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
