Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Experience Requirements Minimum 1 year of welding experience in a manufacturing environment Knowledge of MIG and TIG welding processes Ability to read and follow work instructions Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, rulers, squares, and dial calipers Basic math and measurement skills Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum preferred Blueprint and AWS welding symbol interpretation preferred Job Duties Perform MIG and TIG welding with minimal supervision Set up welding equipment according to Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS) Produce weldments that meet AWS standards and engineering requirements Read blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions Use measuring tools to verify accuracy and quality Operate material handling equipment as needed Perform minor maintenance on welding equipment Safely operate hand tools, air tools, and electric grinders Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in welding positions throughout the shift. Ability to lift metal components, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely wear welding helmets, gloves, and required personal protective equipment. Ability to safely work around welding equipment, sparks, heat, and fabrication machinery while following established safety procedures. What You Will Do As a Welder you will prepare materials, set up welding equipment, perform MIG welding operations, inspect completed welds, read blueprints, verify measurements, and help fabricate metal components according to engineering specifications. You will maintain welding equipment, follow quality standards, and support safe, efficient manufacturing operations while producing consistent, high-quality work. A Welder produces high-quality welded assemblies using MIG welding techniques that support manufacturing across many industries. This position combines technical expertise, fabrication skills, and attention to detail to create reliable finished products. The Welder requires strong welding ability, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings while maintaining quality standards and safe work practices.
