Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday-Friday Job Overview We are seeking a dependable Welder to join a growing precast concrete manufacturing team in Bakersfield. This position is responsible for welding, fabricating, repairing, and modifying steel forms and rebar assemblies used in the production of precast concrete products. The ideal candidate will have MIG welding experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining a commitment to safety and quality. Responsibilities Weld steel components and rebar assemblies used in precast concrete production. Fabricate, repair, and modify steel forms according to blueprints and fabrication drawings. Measure, cut, grind, and prepare materials for welding. Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity. Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently. Use grinders, torches, hand tools, and measuring devices to complete projects. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication instructions. Assist with fitting, tacking, and assembling steel structures. Work closely with production teams to meet daily production goals. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures. Qualifications Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year of welding experience in manufacturing, fabrication, construction, or production environments. MIG welding experience on mild steel. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings. Ability to accurately use a tape measure and measuring tools. Experience grinding, cutting, and preparing materials for welding. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, grinders, and torches. Ability to lift 50+ pounds throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience welding rebar cages or structural steel. Experience in precast concrete, construction, or fabrication environments. Stick welding experience. Ability to fit and fabricate independently. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
