Contract-to-Hire Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Welder to fabricate and weld carbon steel piping systems, structural components, fabricated assemblies, and related products for water infrastructure and industrial projects. This hands-on position requires proficiency in multiple welding processes, blueprint reading, fit-up, and producing high-quality weldments that meet ASME, AWS, and customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience with carbon steel fabrication, full penetration welds, structural welding, and pipe fabrication while maintaining exceptional workmanship and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Fabricate and weld carbon steel pipe, structural steel, fittings, flanges, and fabricated assemblies Perform welding using: MIG (GMAW) TIG (GTAW) Stick (SMAW) Flux Core (FCAW) Produce full penetration groove welds , fillet welds, and structural welds Read and interpret: Blueprints Isometric drawings Weld symbols Fabrication drawings Technical specifications Perform layout, fit-up, tack welding, grinding, beveling, and material preparation Select proper filler metals, electrodes, shielding gases, and welding parameters Operate welding machines, grinders, cutting equipment, and fabrication tools safely Inspect completed welds for quality and compliance with specifications Identify welding defects and perform repairs when necessary Cross-train and assist with mechanical assembly as production requires Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Proven fabrication and welding experience in a manufacturing environment Proficiency with: MIG (GMAW) TIG (GTAW) Stick Welding (SMAW) Flux Core Welding (FCAW) Experience welding carbon steel pipe and structural steel Ability to perform full penetration welds Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings Strong knowledge of welding equipment, fabrication tools, and shop practices Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship Strong communication and teamwork skills Preferred Qualifications ASME Welding Certification

Structural Welding Certification Experience with: Carbon steel fabrication Pipe fabrication Structural steel fabrication Water infrastructure components Pressure piping systems Vocational or technical welding training Experience in industrial fabrication, piping, or heavy manufacturing Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move 50+ lbs Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, twisting, reaching, and lifting Ability to work in hot environments and around fabrication equipment Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Work Environment This position operates in a fabrication and manufacturing environment with exposure to: Welding arcs and bright light Heat, sparks, and molten metal Welding fumes and smoke Grinders, saws, and fabrication equipment Heavy materials and industrial machinery Noise and vibration Proper PPE, including welding helmet, gloves, flame-resistant clothing, hearing protection, and respiratory protection where required, must be worn at all times. #ILB123
