Welder Atlas Copco Group - 3.9 Fort Collins, CO Job Details $20 - $26 an hour 5 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Qualifications Maintaining an organized workspace Blueprint specification interpretation Aluminum Calipers High school diploma or GED Dimensional measurements Joining process implementation Welding 1 year Manufacturing Stainless steel Communication skills Entry level Full Job Description Your role The Welder I is responsible for permanently joining steel, stainless steel, and/or aluminum components together through the application of appropriate welding techniques. This role will be part of the Manufacturing team and report to a Production Manager. Demonstrate best practice approach in the areas of safety, quality, timeliness of delivery, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Familiarization with basic department functions, including cut & prep, bending, and part modification. Use of measuring devices including tape measure. Follow blueprints to meet product specifications and maintain tight tolerances. Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces. Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead). Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required by job detail. Participate in training provided by seasoned employees to learn basic department functions. Maintain tools and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe manner. Comply with company policies and procedures, paying special attention to safety requirements. Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
• High school diploma or GED Previous industry experience preferred. 1+ year of experience interpreting and following written and verbal work instructions, mechanical and electrical schematics and engineering mechanical drawings. Good written and communication skills Work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment while following safety and process controls. Work with a team and independently.
