Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This position is responsible for welding and fabricating metal structures and components to blueprint specifications, using a range of welding techniques including MIG, TIG, stick, and laser welding. We welcome candidates across the experience spectrum — from those fresh out of a welding or trade school program to seasoned journeymen — and will invest in building your skills to match the needs of the role. Your precision and attention to detail will ensure that finished products meet the highest quality standards. This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of materials and equipment in a fast-paced factory environment, contributing directly to the production of high-quality products. Role Responsibilities Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and schematics to fabricate and assemble metal structures and components. Perform MIG, TIG, stick, and laser welding according to job specifications. Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently. Inspect and test welds for accuracy, strength, and quality. Operate a forklift for material handling as required. Solder components together as needed. Maintain a safety-first mindset, adhering to safety guidelines and maintaining a clean work area. Assist other departments with tasks as directed, including loading and unloading parts from the paint line, basic assembly support, and additional production needs. Prior Experience Completion of a welding or fabrication trade program, or hands-on welding experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Exposure to blueprint and schematic reading is a plus. Ability to apply basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Willingness to learn safety procedures related to welding and fabrication, including forklift operation and use of hand/power tools. Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality control. Required Knowledge of welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, stick (arc), and oxy-fuel welding. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics, or willingness to build this skill through training. Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise quality checks on finished welds. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Journeyman-level welding experience. Experience with sheet metal fabrication. Knowledge of metallurgy and applicable welding code standards. Experience in a fabrication, door hardware, or sheet metal manufacturing environment. Qualifications Welding or fabrication trade school completion, or equivalent hands-on experience; journeyman-level experience welcome. Must be able to frequently lift items in excess of 50 lbs. Must be able to hold or carry material in excess of 50 lbs. Requires long periods of sitting, standing, and/or walking. Work in a shop environment while exposed to various weather conditions.
