Job description: Ram Specialty Fabrications is a full-service sheet metal fabrication company located in Naugatuck, CT. We are currently seeking an experienced Production TIG Welder to join our team.
Position Overview:
This role focuses on high-quality, repeatable TIG welding of precision sheet metal components. The ideal candidate excels at consistent, clean welds and can maintain productivity without sacrificing accuracy.
Responsibilities include:
Perform production TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum sheet metal components Read and follow blueprints, weld symbols, and job travelers Set up workpieces, fixtures, and equipment to ensure consistent results Maintain tight tolerances and high visual quality on repeat production parts Perform basic grinding, deburring, and finishing as required Inspect welds using calipers, gauges, and visual standards Maintain a clean and safe work area while meeting daily production targets
Requirements:
2+ years TIG welding experience in a production or precision sheet metal environment Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and weld callouts Strong focus on consistency, cleanliness, and repeatable quality Experience working with stainless steel and aluminum Ability to work independently, follow production schedules, and hit daily output goals Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality workmanship Compensation commensurate with experience.
