Prepare materials and workpieces for welding, including cleaning, positioning, and clamping to ensure proper fit and alignment. Inspect welds visually and dimensionally to verify quality, structural integrity, and adherence to specifications. Maintain welding equipment, tools, and workstations in safe and efficient working condition. Follow established safety procedures and quality standards throughout all welding activities. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and resolve technical issues related to weld quality or fit. Document work as required, such as recording completed welds, noting any defects, and reporting issues that may affect quality or delivery. Essential Skills Proven experience as a TIG welder working on machined parts. Strong MIG welding skills with the ability to switch between TIG and MIG processes as required. Ability to work on aerospace and defense-related components with a focus on precision and quality. Solid understanding of welding techniques, weld symbols, and basic fabrication practices. Capability to read and follow technical drawings and work instructions. Attention to detail and commitment to producing clean, structurally sound welds.
