Job Description

How would you like to bring your welding and fabrication skills to one of Lakeland's most established manufacturers of industrial processing equipment? We are currently seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join a stable, family-owned production shop known for its supportive, safety-focused culture. This position offers a clear tier-based pay structure and strong long-term career growth potential!

We offer:

Weekly Pay Hourly pay starting at $20.00/hr based on skill and experience First Shift schedule (5:00 AM - 4:00 PM) Temp to Hire opportunity HUGE career growth potential with a defined tier-based advancement path The MIG Welder builds conveyor assemblies in a fast-paced, production-style fabrication shop, owning each build through the full in-house production cycle — from material verification through fit-up, welding, cleaning, and final quality check. Verify material on hand against work orders — correct parts, sizes, grades, and counts. Cut, grind, bevel, drill, and clean stock to prepare components for fit-up and welding. Set up and lay out work from engineering drawings and work orders, using jigs/fixtures or free-hand fabrication as directed. Weld steel components using wire-fed (MIG/flux-core) equipment to product specifications and applicable weld standards. Requirements:

Demonstrated combination welder-fitter experience 1 year minimum is not an entry-level position; must be able to carry a weldment from print to finished product independently. Comfortable welding 3/16″- 1/2″ plate and structural tube with wire-fed (MIG/flux-core) equipment. Ability to read and interpret shop prints, fabrication drawings, and weld symbols. Ability to pull dimensions accurately with a tape measure and standard fabrication tools.
