What You'll Do:
Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces, adhering to applicable quality, engineering and GD&T standards. Performs dimensional and visual inspections of Fabrications as required. Reviews, understands, and completes all required documentation that accompanies work assignments (including travelers/data package). Possesses a dedicated work ethic to expedite all assigned tasks through the department within the guidelines of the Quality Policy and Quality Procedures. Maintains a clean, organized work environment through weekly and daily 5-S activities. Performs assigned jobs efficiently, with minimal errors and high-quality workmanship. Communicates defects, issues, and concerns with supervisor; seeks guidance/instruction as needed. Works individually or as a team; willing to cross-train as necessary. Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring:
High School Diploma or GED 2+ year of experience in Welding with GTAW and FCAW. in an aerospace metal contract manufacturing environment.
What Sets You Apart:
Ability to read/interpret complex blueprints, layouts, drawings, and instructions. Must have or acquire and maintain basic required tools to support departmental work assignments. Must be able to adapt to various working conditions. Microsoft Office applications. Experience in welding and machining of complex, close tolerance aerospace components Experience with AS9100 and
ISO 9001.
Knowledge of Geometric Tolerances, (ANSI-Y 14.5) drawing interpretation and shop math. Basic math and geometry skills. Vocational training. Must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, all essential functions of the job. Must be able to communicate in the English language.
