Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Structural & Pipe Welder to join our dynamic fabrication and construction team. This role is essential in executing precise welding tasks on structural steel, piping systems, and sheet metal components across various projects. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in metal fabrication, adherence to safety protocols, and a passion for delivering high-quality workmanship. As a Certified Structural & Pipe Welder, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and durability of our projects while working in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment. Duties Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements and specifications. Perform welding operations using FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) techniques in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards and ASME codes. Fabricate, assemble, and install structural steel components, piping systems, ductwork, and sheet metal parts with precision using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment. Measure materials accurately with calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure proper fit-up and alignment. Rigging pipes or structural elements safely for lifting or positioning using appropriate rigging techniques and equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Thread pipes, solder joints, cut metal materials via plasma cutting or press brake machines to meet project specifications. Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols at all times while working on construction sites or fabrication shops to prevent accidents or injuries. Document work progress through detailed reports, logs, and incident reports as required by project management. Requirements Proven construction site experience with a strong background in metal fabrication and welding operations. Certification as a Structural & Pipe Welder from recognized authorities such as AWS or equivalent industry standards. Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and interpreting mechanical blueprints accurately. Skilled in various welding techniques including
