Job Description

The Dupps Company continues to grow and expand as a 90-year leading manufacturing company providing large industrial equipment and on-going customer service and maintenance repair in the Rendering/Oil Seed Industry which provides recycling equipment that benefits the animal protein, fertilizer, and renewable fuel industries in a heavy industrial work environment. The Dupps Company is headquartered in Germantown OH with additional repair/manufacturing facilities in Ankeny IA, Atlanta GA, Butler KY, Oklahoma City OK, and Toccoa GA. The Ankeny facility is structured around repairing equipment. We are currently seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Weld up to blueprint specific dimensions
  • Weld .045 and 1/16" Flux cored wire
  • Weld .045 and 1/16" stainless steel wire
  • Carbon arc gouging (air arc)
  • Stick weld both carbon steel and stainless steel
  • Using fork truck to move equipment
  • Most welds are for build up. (Lots of Weaving)
  • Running both 9" and 4.5" grinders
  • Adhere to safety standards
  • Follow operations standards
  • Changing out gas and weld wires
  • Analyze equipment and take appropriate steps for all defects
  • Operate plasma and cutting torches What Will You Need to Succeed?
  • 2+ years of experience in fabrication
  • Ability to read basic blueprints
  • Knowledge of 5S protocol
Education/Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2yrs welding experience preferred PPE
  • All PPE is provided (including steel toed boots) only exception is prescription safety glasses which are covered up to $150
