ASAP Job Overview Superior Skilled Trades is currently seeking experienced Pipe Welders/Fitters . This is an excellent opportunity for dependable professionals who take pride in producing high-quality work while working in a fast-paced field environment.Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing welding and fitting on stainless and carbon steel pipes.
- Weld stainless and carbon steel pipes, following work orders, flow sheets, blueprint drawings, vendor specs, and/or P&ID's.
- Perform welding techniques including TIG, MIG, and stick welding.
- Carry out brazing, soldering, and repair/replacement of stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, copper, and other metals.
- Use hand, power, and shop tools proficiently.
- Assist with process equipment assembly and installation.
- Troubleshoot and solve equipment issues.
- Install pipe fittings, rigging, and other equipment as necessary.
- Lubricate equipment as directed.
- Complete data entry into the work order system.
- Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications
- 4 years of commercial/industrial pipe welding experience required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and stick welding.
- Experience with pipe fitting, rigging, and equipment installation.
- Ability to interpret work orders, blueprints and P&ID's.
- Equipment diagnostics and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in welding stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and copper.
- Testing Requirements (as part of the interview process):
- 2" Carbon Steel TIG root, TIG cover
- 6" Schedule 40, TIG root, stick cover (7018)
- 2" Stainless Steel, TIG root, TIG cover Required PPE Hard hat Safety vest or high-visibility shirt Safety glasses Welding gloves Steel-toe boots Required Tools Welding helmet Welding gloves Angle grinder Wire brush Chipping hammer Clamps Pliers Welding gauges Combination and framing squares Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods.
