Job Description

Western Trailers is hiring Steel Welders and Aluminum Welders for both day and swing shifts at our Boise manufacturing facility. We are looking for dependable welders who take pride in producing high-quality work. In this position, you will use MIG welding processes to fabricate components for custom semi-trailers. Starting pay will be based on your welding experience, skill level, and performance during our weld assessment. What we offer Starting pay of $21.00

00 per hour Pay based on experience and demonstrated skill Day or swing shift opportunities Four-day workweek with three-day weekends Company-paid medical insurance for employees Dental and vision insurance options Company 401(k) contribution Paid time off and paid holidays Stable, year-round employment Opportunities to strengthen your welding and fabrication skills Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on steel, stainless steel, or aluminum according to company quality standards Perform vertical and horizontal fillet welds with a high degree of quality Set up, operate, and tend equipment used to fabricate custom trailer components Read and interpret drawings, measurements, and production specifications Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy Safely operate cranes and use appropriate rigging practices when trained and authorized Properly use required personal protective equipment Complete assigned work accurately and within production expectations Follow established safety, equipment, and manufacturing procedures Work effectively independently and as part of a production team Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications Previous MIG welding or steel fabrication experience is preferred Ability to pass a hands-on welding assessment Ability to perform vertical and horizontal fillet welds Ability to read and interpret drawings and work instructions Ability to accurately use a tape measure Ability to perform basic math using fractions, decimals, and whole numbers Ability to consistently produce quality welds with limited supervision Experience using pulse MIG equipment is helpful Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand and work on your feet for most of the shift Ability to safely perform the physical duties of the position Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to adapt to changing production needs and priorities High school diploma or GED preferred Schedule Full-time Day or swing shift openings

5:00 am
  • 3:30 pm
Swing Shift Hours:
4:00 pm
  • 2:30 am Four 10-hour shifts Monday
  • Thursday Three-day weekends Work location In person
