Applicants will be required to set up personal reference calls with former employers as final step in application process. Under the general supervision of the Supervisor and Operations Manager, become a vital member of the team primarily responsible for TIG welding. Must have 4+ years of prior experience with TIG welding of Aluminum or equivalent Trade/Associates Degree Must have prior experience MIG welding various other metals (2+ years). Must be able to read mechanical drawings. Must be able to fixture and setup, including but not limited to clamping, holding, tack-welding, and bolting. Participate as team member to help with welding preparation and finishing as required, including but not limited to grinding, sanding, polishing, and detailing using hand and power tools to a high standard to create a finished welded product. Must be able to weld parts in various directions; flat, horizontal or vertical. Verify dimensional accuracy and quality of part details using mechanical drawings and measuring instrumentation. Ability to manage multiple tasks and organize and prioritize time effectively. Operate basic tool room equipment, including belt sanders and time savers, brake press equipment, grinders, and various hand tools. Assist in other areas in the fabrication process as needed. Ability to interact with multiple members of different teams. Work independently and as a part of a team. Welding helmet provided by employee, batteries provided by company. Responsible for providing your own tools including but not limited to, calipers, tape measure, pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, and any other tools required to perform standard jobs. Must use PPE for appropriate safety and protection. Basic PPE provided. Must maintain appropriate protection equipment. Must participate in process improvement. At times will be working in a loud, dirty and sometimes warm environment. Show drive and bring innovation/process improvement that achieve the company's short- and long-term goals. This position reports to the Operations Manager. Qualifications for the TIG Welder role: MIG/TIG welding degree or certification from accredited secondary school or trade school. 2+ years of welding experience or equivalent Trade/Associates degree and experience. High School diploma or GED equivalent required (diploma required). Must be able to read mechanical drawings and understand welding symbols. Good math skills are required. Must become forklift certified. Proficient with measuring equipment. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
