Welder - MIG Rhino Tool Company is seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our first shift production team. This role is responsible for performing MIG welding to assemble and fabricate metal structures and components according to specifications, blueprints, or instructions, ensuring every weld meets our quality standards and safety requirements. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements. Set up and operate MIG welding machines, adjusting amperage, voltage, and gas flow rates for proper metal penetration. Position parts prior to welding using clamps, jigs, and fixtures. Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. Inspect completed welds for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications. Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and safe condition. Follow all safety protocols and company procedures. Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Certification in welding or completion of a recognized apprenticeship program preferred. Typically requires 3+ years of experience in MIG welding or a related field. Proficient in MIG welding techniques and equipment operation. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints. Strong attention to detail and quality standards. Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Must be able to be on your feet, perform repetitive motions, and regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs. Knowledge of safety practices and procedures in a welding environment. Manufacturing site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures and OSHA regulations. Familiarity with blueprint reading, mechanical blueprint interpretation, schematics, and technical drawings related to metal fabrication projects. Experience working on structural steel assembly in a manufacturing or fabrication shop environment. Knowledge of ASME codes & standards and AWS welding standards is highly desirable. Ability to operate rigging equipment such as forklifts or cranes is a plus. Basic math skills for shop math calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and fabrication procedures. Mechanical knowledge of metal materials, assembly techniques, machining processes, soldering, and the use of hand tools and power tools required for welding tasks.
