North Aurora Job Summary:
The Welder is responsible for performing skilled welding work in the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of metal structures and equipment. This role involves interpreting blueprints, using welding equipment, and ensuring the quality and safety of welded products.Key Responsibilities:
Welding & Fabrication:
Perform welding tasks using various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding. Fabricate and repair metal structures, equipment, and parts according to specifications. Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and work orders to determine welding requirements.Quality Control:
Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Perform necessary adjustments and repairs to achieve desired results. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.Safety & Maintenance:
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Maintain and clean welding equipment and tools. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor.Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with other team members to complete projects on time. Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding project status and any issues. Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Certification in welding or completion of a welding training program. Minimum of 2 years of welding experience. Proficiency in various welding techniques and equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
