Job Title:
TIG/MIG Welder Job Description Join our team to manufacture stainless steel tanks for the dairy industry, focusing on creating food-grade or sanitary welds. This position requires expertise in TIG and MIG welding, primarily on stainless steel and aluminum, utilizing Lincoln and Miller welders. Responsibilities Perform TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum for tank production in various positions such as flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead. Perform MIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum for tank production in various positions such as flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead. Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, bolt, custom fabricate, or grind materials to meet technical requirements and create a welded final product. Control fitting, burning, and welding processes to prevent overheating, distortion, expansion, or shrinking of parts. Read and understand basic prints/drawings to execute welding tasks. Solve fabrication problems and perform overhead welding. Essential Skills 3 years of experience in TIG and MIG welding. Proficiency in welding stainless steel and aluminum. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings. Strong problem-solving skills in fabrication tasks. Experience in fitting, MIG welding, and fabrication. Additional Skills & Qualifications 3 years of experience in print reading and fabrication. Why Work Here? Shift:
Monday-Thursday (5am-3:30pm) and 2nd
Shift:
Monday-Thursday (3:30pm-2:00am). Enjoy a structured PTO plan and paid holidays. For any inner barrel welding, a respirator will be provided, and you must be clean-shaven for the fit test. Benefit from weekly pay and a supportive work environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roscoe, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
