What You Will Do:

This role is a dynamic 50/50 split between custom welding and fabrication . You will work on a variety of projects rather than doing the exact same repetitive weld all day long.

+ Perform high-quality TIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel.

+ Perform MIG welding on aluminum, stainless, and mild steel as needed.

+ Read and interpret basic blueprints to lay out and assemble parts.

+ Handle general fabrication tasks including grinding, deburring, and operating a laser cutter.

+ Use a tape measure accurately to ensure parts meet specifications.

Experience:

At least 6 months of professional, on-the-job welding experience. +

Welding Skills:

Hands-on experience with both TIG and MIG welding (especially on aluminum and stainless steel). +

Technical Skills:

Ability to read basic blueprints and use a tape measure accurately. +

Bonus Points:

Completion of a welding school program, or prior experience operating a laser cutter is a huge plus! Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Schiller Park, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00
